the converted caravan exceeded our expectations with its spaciousness, hot shower, and TV. The secluded garden location was a pleasant surprise. The helpful host made check-in and directions a breeze. We enjoyed the nearby walks and proximity to Barry, Cardiff, and the beach.

A headboard for the pull-down bed would be nice.

The location of the Hideaway At Duffryn Mawr Self Catering Cottages was fantastic, offering a peaceful and idyllic setting for a few nights away. The fully functioning bathroom in the hut was a pleasant surprise and added to the convenience. The hosts were also very accommodating and easy to communicate with. it was a cute and different experience that I hadn't had before.

There were a few minor drawbacks during my stay. The pictures of the accommodation were slightly deceptive as the table and bed couldn't be used at the same time.

Ideal location for a relaxing night close to the city. Wonderful hosts. Would stay again for a secluded countryside trip.

I recently stayed at The Hideaway and was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and amenities of the converted caravan. The hot shower, fridge, and TV made for a comfortable stay. The secluded garden location was very peaceful, and the host was helpful with check-in and directions. The unique decor and pull-down bed added to the charm. The compact accommodation had all the essentials for a short break, and the owners were welcoming and extremely helpful. Having a private toilet and shower, along with a TV, set The Hideaway apart from other shepherd's hut-style accommodations I've stayed in. The bed was comfortable, and the quiet location provided the best night's sleep I had all week. I would happily return for a longer stay and may even bring my wife. The nearby general store and café/bar offered a great breakfast option.

    Totally recommend this hotel.

The best aspects of our Christmas stay were the beautiful area and surroundings. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet, which made it the perfect getaway with my partner. the private toilet and shower were a pleasant surprise and a step up from other places I've stayed in shepherd's huts. the location was amazing, with stunning views and a lovely garden to relax in.

The worst aspects of our stay were the lack of attention to cleanliness upon arrival. the mirror had fingerprints all over it, the shower had black bits in the bottom, and the plates were dirty.

Our stay at The Hideaway was peaceful and quiet, providing a much-needed break from the city. The rural location was perfect for relaxation, and we appreciated that it was dog friendly. The hosts were accommodating and easy to get in touch with, making the whole experience enjoyable.

While there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the deceptive pictures and the lack of a plug for the sink, they didn't significantly impact our stay. Additionally, we did notice some issues with the cleanliness of the property upon arrival.

Our stay at The Hideaway was absolutely delightful. The charming little cabin had everything we needed for a perfect weekend getaway. The surrounding countryside was beautiful, and we enjoyed exploring the nearby pubs for delicious meals. The kitchen in the cabin was well-equipped, allowing us to cook a lovely breakfast in the mornings. We were even treated to the company of the owner's dogs, who joined us on the decking while we enjoyed our breakfast. The cabin had a cozy and welcoming ambiance, providing us with a truly memorable experience.

There were a couple of minor drawbacks during our stay. the sink in the cabin did not have a plug, which made washing dishes a bit inconvenient.

The location of the cottage was absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful countryside and offering a peaceful and idyllic setting for a getaway. The owners were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. the bed in the cottage was extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploring the area.

One minor issue was the lack of information regarding the hot water situation upon arrival, but it didn't affect our overall experience. the cottage was slightly smaller than expected and lacked storage space, which could be a drawback for longer stays.

The location was amazing, with plenty of walks nearby and easy access to Barry, Cardiff, and the beach. The hut itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, with hot shower, fridge, and TV. The secluded garden had lovely views and provided a peaceful retreat. The owners were welcoming and communication was excellent, with quick responses to all our questions. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. We also appreciated the recommendation for the nearby sportsman's rest pub, where the food was amazing and the staff were friendly.

There were a few small issues with the accommodation. The decking outside was wobbly and in need of repair.

Our stay at The Hideaway was truly enchanting. The beautiful location and surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for a peaceful getaway. The cabin exceeded our expectations, with its spaciousness and a lovely full-sized shower. We particularly loved the cozy log burner, which added a touch of warmth to the already charming atmosphere. The owners, Rosie and Si, were incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The nearby walks were delightful, and the convenience of being close to Barry, Cardiff, and the beach was a bonus. our stay was fabulous and we would highly recommend it to our loved ones.

While our stay was mostly delightful, we encountered a few minor hiccups. We felt there could have been clearer instructions upon arrival regarding the hot water situation.

The cottage exceeded our expectations with its spacious interior and excellent facilities, including a hot shower and a TV. The secluded garden location provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, the helpful host made our check-in process smooth and provided clear directions.

The lack of clarity regarding the secret garden. The initial description gave the impression that it was a private area for the cottage, but it turned out to be communal.
