The location of the Hideaway At Duffryn Mawr Self Catering Cottages was fantastic, offering a peaceful and idyllic setting for a few nights away. The fully functioning bathroom in the hut was a pleasant surprise and added to the convenience. The hosts were also very accommodating and easy to communicate with. it was a cute and different experience that I hadn't had before.

There were a few minor drawbacks during my stay. The pictures of the accommodation were slightly deceptive as the table and bed couldn't be used at the same time.

The compact accommodation had all the essentials for a short break, and the owners were welcoming and extremely helpful. Having a private toilet and shower, along with a TV, set The Hideaway apart from other shepherd's hut-style accommodations I've stayed in. The bed was comfortable, and the quiet location provided the best night's sleep I had all week. I would happily return for a longer stay and may even bring my wife. The nearby general store and café/bar offered a great breakfast option.
